I’m a huge fan of themed photo shoots, so I loved setting this one up! The recent Netflix series, ‘Wednesday’ was a huge hit and instantly grew a big fan base. I was one of those fans, lol, and I thought the main character actress did a great job in the creative portrayal of the ‘Addams Family’.
This portrait shoot was definitely an adventure! A photographer friend of mine created and hand stitched ‘Thing’, the trusty side kick hand character we know from the show. Sylina Ruiz was our perfect Wednesday Addams! I’ve absolutely loved having her in front of my camera over the last year. We all went on a fun trek through the paved woods at Landsford Canal State Park in Catawba, SC. This location couldn’t have been a better spot for these eery, mysterious photos — other than if the big canal was actually easier to find! We lost daylight quickly as we hunted to find the historical canal, not realizing there was another entrance at the park. It turned to night when we finally found the canal, and we made amazing pictures in the black ‘prom dress’ from the show. Our black glittery dress from Ohh La La Dress Rentals was stunning. The whole session was a vibe and one I’ll never forget. I love how unique these turned out!
