If you want to know what it’s like to have unpredictable Carolina rainstorms show up on your wedding day, then just keep reading! Juliana and Jack planned a most beautiful wedding day for April in Charlotte North Carolina, and it was stunning! This day was filled with many highlights; from an excellent team of vendors, to the bride’s impeccable taste in details, the fun wedding party, the couple’s private moment alone reading their vows before the ceremony(my fav part), to the fantastic live band at the end…
What a day! Congrats to the Mohans

Bride, Juliana, had a keen eye for detail as she picked a peachy color palette before ‘Pantone color of the year’ even announced ‘peach fuzz’ as a buzzing popular color for the year. This Spring wedding was fun, vibrant, and romantic, incorporating a soft array of happy ‘melon’ tones. Just check out the details!

Jack and Juliana’s portraits together before the formal ceremony were precious and sweetly intimate. This part in the big day was necessary🗝️ As another thunderstorm was coming for us, we got to secure the sunniest, most lovely pics together before the downpour. Let me take a moment to tell you what a difference it made. The wedding party literally partied inside, and the couple got to chill together and comfort each other while we all waited out the rain.
Brides to be: if you’re reading this, don’t contemplate a first look, just do it!
Why?
You’ll have a stress free timeline,
You’ll be more relaxed,
You’ll get a private moment alone in the hustle of the big day,
+ More secured photos if weather is surprising,
You’ll get more genuine reaction in your photos,
+ More pictures with your spouse, and potentially more time with your guests,
Did I mention MORE photos!? The list goes on.
Some friendly advice: don’t skimp on a first look due to a superstitious tradition.

As the rain came, the great team of vendors provided multiple ceremony backup plans for the couple to choose from. One very important thing to discuss and note when wedding planning is a rain plan if you’re anticipating an outdoor ceremony. A great planning tip is to discuss a plan B and C with your planner and venue coordinator for the big day. Remaining positive and patient will come in handy too! J + J waited out the rain while their guests were escorted to a covering at the venue of Whitehead Manor. Then, as it often does, the rain moved and gave us a clear window for the ceremony time and remaining evening. Once we all saw the rainbow from the window, the couple shed emotional tears with their wedding party as the rainbow was both a hopeful sign of relief and a personal wink for one of the bride’s friends as they were remembering a loved one who recently passed. The fun bridal party kept the couple’s spirits high as they took a few shots and listened to music while they waited out the rain. It helps when you have the right folks in your wedding party for the day. The remainder of the day continued on in fun celebration!
