Estefania and Josh are a precious couple, and I’m so grateful to have met them to document their special day this year. They had a much more intimate day with their closest family and friends who were in the States. After the ceremony, we got to walk to a place where Josh proposed to Stef for a second time, and we made a few pictures there. That evening they celebrated with delicious homemade deserts and cake at Josh’s parent’s house nearby. With all the interruptions the year 2020 brought, it’s beautiful and refreshing to see that all you really need is love, family, and a few true friends on one of the most important days.

These two met at a UNC Charlotte college ministry hosted event called, The Coffee House. Stef had signed up to volunteer at the event by serving behind the desert tables. Josh was there, and he happened to be wearing a borrowed soccer t-shirt from his brother. Turns out Stef absolutely loves soccer, and that borrowed shirt was the catalyst to their first conversation. They quickly hit it off, became friends and fell in love. Though it wasn’t easy, their love even survived long distance. In Josh’s words, with prayer, God brought their hearts together over the course of many years and kept their hearts together through the many miles and trials in between.
