This photo session was a DREAM. I had a fun opportunity in February to take part in this creative, bohemian styled bridal session featuring several amazing wedding vendors. We collaborated together and showcased beautiful, fresh, Spring and Summer wedding details that fit the unique, boho loving bride. All the bridal elements here from the calligraphy down to the fun jewelry went so well together. Feast your eyes on the trendy details with lemon lime accents, and large florals with a tropical edge.
Each vendor brought their ‘A game’ with what they contributed. The brides and grooms were real married couples who are madly in love, and it definitely shows in the pictures! The brightly lit, white bricked venue at Old South Vintage Rentals was great. The large, floor to ceiling windows let in vast amounts of natural light, and the ceiling was adorned with glamorous chandeliers of all kinds. The venue also has a wide variety of eclectic furniture for any type of event/theme. I absolutely love the abundance of sunny citrus colors, fresh greenery, and that amazing bouquet. The bouquet was my spirit animal 😉 It deserved a photo session of its own! I have to give a shout of the these florals: they were breathtakingly gorgeous with so much intricate, hand made detail. This bouquet was a ‘go big or go home’, and I was loving it. If you look closely, you’ll even find added bits of gold tipped leaves that were dipped. In addition, the florist hand installed a tropical flower wall for the ceremony, featuring a spray of lemon and mustard yellow, wildflower accents. This was a photographer’s paradise for me.
I’ve got to say that I loved the modern two piece on bride, Kayli. The lace crop top was perfectly paired with the long, yellow dipped skirt that twirled gracefully. The other all white, more traditional dress had just enough elegance and simplicity with special lace trimmed patterns on the sleeves. Elle wore it beautifully! Also, there was not just a unique, TEAL cake, but deliciously crafted, gourmet donuts filled the air with sweetness too. Can’t decide between having a wedding cake or doing donuts for the big day — Why not have both!? The donuts were not your typical donuts either – one of the flavors was pink raspberry with fresh mint leaves sprinkled on top. Um, yes please. Additionally, we had a bar area where we featured a juicy, sparkling beverage surrounded by succulent plants. For me, this styled shoot was like being at a theme park. In every corner of the room, I was able to have the models move around and pose to say ‘I do’ all over again. I feel that I really got to be creative, capture, and produce some of my best work yet. I was inspired. These pictures make me want to sip some raspberry lemonade while listening to “Here Comes the Sun”…
